Fifth Grade
Welcome to 5th Grade!
Welcome to the 2006-2007 school year! We hope this year is filled with excitement, challenge, and enjoyment for both you and your child. In fifth grade, your child will continue to build character, handle responsibility, and mature. At the end of the year, it is our hope that your child will walk away with many unforgettable memories of this very special time in their life. The fifth grade teachers have created this letter in an effort to foster continued communication between school and home. You will want to be sure to mark your calendar for these upcoming fifth grade events. Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher with any additional questions or concerns that you may have.
Fieldtrips
*Please be advised that these field trips are scheduled in advance. If the national threat level suddenly increases or if transportation is unavailable, the fieldtrip may be canceled or rescheduled.
Philadelphia: October 27th 9:00 am - 4:45 pm
* This is an extended day trip. Please pick up your child promptly at 4:45 pm or make other arrangements. If you do make other arrangements, please send a note in with your child before the field trip date.

Book Reports
Each fifth grade student has been assigned to a book report group. Your child is expected to present a report and project on the dates scheduled from their assigned group. Additional information concerning book reports, may be found in your child’s binder in the “Book Report” section.
