The Learning CornerMusic in Kindergarten
During Kindergarten, students will:
· Identify music as loud or soft/ fast or slow/ long or short/ high or low · Sort classroom instruments by sound or playing technique · Identify whisper, speaking, singing, and shouting voices · Identify the voices of men, women, and children

· Explore steady beat by using body percussion and classroom instruments · Sing a variety of music, including game songs, folksongs, action songs, and seasonal songs · Perform 2 and 4 beat ostinatos using body percussion and classroom instruments · Use picture symbols to represent musical sounds · Listen to a variety of styles and genres of music from different periods and cultures
