· Identify and perform decrescendo, crescendo, and fermata signs · Identify, perform, and create patterns using the following notes and rests: quarter note, quarter rest, eighth note pair, single eighth note, eighth rest, sixteenth notes, half note, half rest, dotted half note, whole note, and whole rest · Reinforce staff elements, including time signatures, note names, and note values by playing the recorder · Identify the form of songs by listening for contrasting sections · Experience music of different cultures, including North, South, and Hispanic American · Identify characteristics of specific musical styles, including minuet and suite · Identify and classify orchestral and folk instruments
